Taunton M.C. in 2018

Well folks here we are at the end of another year. I hope you’ve all had a successful time in whatever you were doing. Personally or Competitively. Sadly the club lost some members this year who played a major role in how the club is today. Richard King, Brenda Mitchell and Julia Hayes all will be sadly missed. Our love and best wishes go out to all their families at this time. The club seems to have had another busy year with treasure hunts, field events, hillclimbs, rallies and not forgetting our first Autosolo at Culmhead Business park. Besides this members got involved in marshalling. competiting and helping other clubs with their events. The year ended with the traditional carvery at the Allerford inn. Another great turn out again with 42 people taking part in the clubs festivities. All in all lots of positives for 2019. Once again it is also that time that I remind club members about renewing their membership especially for those doing the winter series, and any other competitive events early in the year. Membership can be paid online and if your details haven’t changed from last year payment can made by BACS details on the bottom of the membership form which can be found on the website under the Membership tab please use your name as the reference so I can identify who the payment has come from on the bank statement. Also at this time of year I make the request for our members to become more involved what happens with the club, by joining our committee. We need help both on the social media side and organisers as our committee numbers are below what they should be. Its your opportunity to make sure the club continues in being successful and running quality events that competitors want to keep entering year on year.
Finally may I wish you all a very Happy, Prosperous and successful New Year. See you all in 2019, treasure hunt details will be released shortly.
All the very best
